Job summary

Memorial Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support primary care, surgical and specialty practices in Belpre, OH. The CMA will provide clinical and clerical assistance, document care in the EMR, administer medications per provider orders, and assist with patient education and registrations.

This full-time role requires completion of an accredited CMA program with certification (AAMA/RMA/NHA) and BLS.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED is required.
• Accredited medical assistant program with AAMA, RMA, or NHA certification or approved equivalent.
• BLS certification is required.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the medical plan of care and assists with procedures as needed.
• Reconciles medications in the EMR with each patient encounter.
• Performs medication orders entry in EMR per policy guidelines.
• Administers provider-ordered medications per policy.
• Submits prescriptions and documents in the patient record.
• Identifies patient care problems through data collection and communicates to the provider.
• Documents patient intake, vitals, allergies, med lists, and ROS as directed.
• Performs front office duties such as scheduling and payments handling.
