Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory clinics as part of a float pool. The role emphasizes direct patient care, accurate data gathering, and clear communication with patients in multiple formats.

Qualifications

Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program or MA work experience.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
Demonstrated basic computer skills (word processing and data entry).
Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients and caregivers.
Utah-only: MA residency path if certified with less than one year MA experience.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care under clinician direction and assist with data gathering for visits.
Communicate clearly with patients via telephone and in person.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient care and follow through.
