Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Wasatch Back Float Pool. This PRN role supports clinics in Park City and Heber, with travel between sites required and shifts often 8–12 hours long.

You will assist clinicians, gather information, communicate with patients, and maintain PHI privacy. A MA program completion or RN/LPN license plus BLS are required; mileage may be reimbursed and benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant Program with certification upon hire.
• Or at least one year MA experience, verified at hire.
• Or current RN/LPN license to practice in-state.
• BLS certification required prior to start date.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with patients and caregivers to ensure care quality.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients and caregivers.
• Utah MA residency program may be available if MA experience < 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under clinician direction, assisting with information gathering.
• Communicate clearly with patients via phone and in-person interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate patient care.
