Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification; BLS from American Heart Association preferred.
• Certification for Medical Assisting required (NCCT, AAMA, NHA or NAHP preferred).
• 1 year of clinical office experience preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical thinking to address patient care needs with the care team.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and outside agencies.
• Assists in onboarding and education of nursing staff within the department.
• Guides care navigation through education on treatment plans and resources.
• Documents in the EMR accurately following policy and procedures.
• Rooms patients and records clinical information in the EMR per policy.
• Monitors expiration dates and storage conditions of medications and supplies.
