Southern Illinois Healthcare in Herrin, IL seeks a compassionate clinical assistant to work with physicians and caregivers in an ambulatory office setting. You will assist with direct patient care, document in the EMR, and support medication storage procedures according to policy.

Responsibilities include effective communication with the care team and families, rooming patients, and ensuring accurate charting and compliance with medication expiration guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification; BLS from AHA preferred.
• Certified Nurses Aid certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate quality communication between the care team, outside agencies, patients, and their families through written, verbal, observation, and empathy skills.
• Rooms the patient and documents required and updated clinical information in the EMR following policy and procedures for process.
• Demonstrates completed competency for accurate and appropriate documentation in the EMR and patient care following scope of clinical role outlined in policy.
• Follows office procedures to monitor expiration dates and storage conditions of medications and supplies.
