Southern Illinois Healthcare seeks a patient-focused Medical Office Assistant to work with physicians and the care team in an ambulatory office setting. You will help deliver appropriate treatment and document information accurately in the EMR.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, current BLS certification (AHA preferred) or Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred, and about 1 year of clinical office and customer service experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification; BLS from American Heart Association preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• 1 year of clinical office experience preferred; ability to perform manual blood pressure.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Demonstrate quality communication between the care team, outside agencies, patients, and their families through written, verbal, observation, and empathy skills.
• Rooms the patient and documents required and updated clinical information in the EMR following policy and procedures for process.
• Demonstrates completed competency for accurate and appropriate documentation in the EMR and patient care following scope of clinical role outlined in policy.
• Follows office procedures to monitor expiration dates and storage conditions of medications and supplies.
