Sentara Health Plans is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support providers in an ambulatory clinic. The LPN rooms patients, records vital signs, and helps with exams and procedures. You will administer medications, collect specimens, and provide patient education under provider direction.

Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred. The role emphasizes accurate EHR documentation and teamwork to maintain patient flow and safety.

Qualificações

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program leading to LPN/LVN eligibility is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in an ambulatory or physician practice setting is preferred.
• New graduates may be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Rooms patients, measures vital signs, and records health information in the EHR.
• Administers medications and immunizations within the LPN scope.
• Collects blood specimens and performs simple diagnostic tests as ordered.
• Prepares patients and treatment rooms and assists with examinations and procedures.
• Provides patient education and follow-up instructions within scope.
• Supports patient flow and processes messages and refill requests under provider direction.
• Directs the day-to-day work of medical assistants and aides as assigned.
