Sentara Health is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our ambulatory clinic team in Suffolk, VA. The LPN supports providers and RNs, rooms patients, and records health information in the electronic health record.

The role administers medications/immunizations, collects specimens, and assists with procedures. The ideal candidate holds an accredited LPN program and active LPN license, with 1–2 years in ambulatory settings preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program leading to LPN/LVN eligibility.
• Must have state LPN license and NCLEX-PN completion.
• Ambulatory or physician practice experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist providers and RNs in delivering direct patient care.
• Room patients, measure vitals, and document in EHR.
• Administer medications and immunizations within scope.
• Collect blood specimens and perform simple tests.
• Prepare patients and rooms for exams and procedures.
• Provide patient education and follow-up instructions.
• Support patient flow and process messages/refill requests.
• Direct daily work of medical assistants and aides.
