Job summary

Sanford Health's Sheldon Clinic in Sheldon, IA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality, holistic care within an ambulatory setting. Working under supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider, you’ll be the primary nurse for your provider within your scope of practice.

You will see a variety of patients across ages, perform testing and vaccinations, document medical histories, administer medications, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current LPN license in good standing with state board.
• Maintains required competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients
• Documents a thorough medical history from patient
• Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals
• Counsels patients and family, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans
