Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and updating health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries as needed.
• Administer medications under orders, including immunizations and IV therapy within scope.
• Provide patient education and coordinate follow-up appointments and referrals.
• Communicate with the health care team and document patient status accurately.
• Perform advanced clinical tasks under supervision (e.g., sutures, catheterization, EKG, spirometry, wound care).
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and radiology/clinic areas, restock supplies, and ensure proper technique when lifting.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care and understand growth/development needs.
