Advocate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Ambulatory Float Pool serving the Northwestern AHWFB clinics and Winston-Salem Medical Center area. The role involves providing clinical support across multiple ambulatory sites, covering primary care, OB/GYN, pediatrics and specialty clinics.

The ideal candidate has an active LPN license, BLS, and at least two years of direct patient care. You will document care in EMR, assist with procedures, administer meds, and support triage,

Qualifications

• LPN license in applicable state required.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Minimum of two years direct patient care experience.

Responsabilités

• Document patient care and interactions in the medical record.
• Assist with telephone triage and provide patient instructions per protocol.
• Track and report lab/diagnostic tests and present results to provider.
• Pre-visit planning with provider and care team.
• Administer medications, including injections.
• Check vital signs, height, weight.
• Update medication history and lists.
• Assist with procedures and room cleanup.
• Follow standard precautions and regulatory standards.
• Assist with patient inquiries for refills, scheduling, and referrals.
• Enter orders in EMR per provider orders.
• Perform CLIA-waived tests and Point of Care testing.
• Perform quality control for Point of Care lab procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection as needed.
• Provide depart summary at end of visit.
• Manage vaccine and pharmaceutical orders per regulations.
