Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking an LPN for ambulatory care in a multi-specialty ambulatory setting. The role supports providers and staff to ensure efficient patient care and clinic operations.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, data collection, and reinforcement of care plans under supervision, with a focus on serving diverse age groups in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
• Experience: None required.
• Virginia LPN licensure prior to onboarding; American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the registered nurse or provider through data collection on patients’ physical, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions.
• Organize and prioritize nursing care activities with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implement age-appropriate interventions as directed by the RN/provider.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care and progress toward outcomes.
• Provide ongoing education and reinforce care plans.
• Maintain a safe care environment and contribute to professional development of self and others.
• Demonstrate teamwork in patient care and perform other duties as assigned.
