Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in an ambulatory setting under physician supervision. The role supports education, care plan reinforcement, and age-appropriate interventions across all patient populations.

You will collaborate with RNs and providers to ensure safe, effective care and contribute to ongoing professional development. A sign-on bonus is offered and Virginia LPN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
• Experience: None required.
• Licensed to practice as an LPN in Virginia prior to onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN and/or provider with data collection on physical, psychological, social, and cultural aspects of patients.
• Organize and prioritize nursing care activities with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implement age-appropriate interventions as directed by the RN/provider.
• Evaluate effectiveness of care toward achieving outcomes.
• Provide ongoing education and reinforcement of care plans.
• Maintain a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
• Contribute to professional development of self and others.
• Demonstrate teamwork in delivery of patient care.
