The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in an ambulatory setting under the supervision of a physician or LIP/RN designee, adhering to UVA policies. This role serves patients of all ages, applying developmental considerations in care delivery.

Responsibilities include data collection, prioritizing nursing activities, and implementing age-appropriate interventions while supporting education and care plan reinforcement.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited LPN program.
• Licensure as an LPN in Virginia prior to onboarding.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Assist the RN/provider through data collection of physical, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions as per standards and policy.
• Organize and prioritize nursing care activities with consideration for patient needs and interdisciplinary team.
• Implement age-appropriate interventions as directed by RN/provider.
• Assist in evaluating care effectiveness toward desired outcomes.
• Provide ongoing education and reinforcement of care plans developed by the Provider/RN based on health and education needs and patient age.
• Provide a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
• Assume responsibility for your own professional development and support the development of others.
• Demonstrate teamwork in delivering patient care.
• Other duties may be assigned.
