Job summary

The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Ambulatory care in the Baldwin Building. You will provide nursing care under supervision and collaborate with RNs and providers to support patient needs.

Key responsibilities include data collection through observation, communication with the health care team, adherence to care plans, and maintaining high standards of patient-focused care in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a practical nursing program or passed LPN boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program.
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing preferred.
• One year LPN experience within the last five years preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of the RN or other supervisor.
• Collect data through observation and communicate information to assist the RN/provider in assessment and care planning.
• Participate as a member of the health care team and accept delegation to meet patient/family needs.
• Deliver care in accordance with the patient care plan and organizational policies.
