Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide care to pediatric and adult patients across Plastics, Gynecology, Thoracic, Breast, Endocrine, Bariatric and Liver/Pancreas. The LPN works under the supervision of an RN or supervisor and supports the patient care plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of practical nursing or completed LPN boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program.
• One year LPN experience within the last five years preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment; computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric and adult patients across multiple specialties.
• Collect data through observation and communicate to assist in patient assessment and care planning.
• Deliver care per the patient care plan and organization policies, and participate in quality improvement projects.
