Job summary

WakeMed is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our ambulatory vascular and interventional team. You will partner with physicians, APPs, nurses, and fellow technologists to support minimally invasive procedures with a focus on patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in clinical radiology, ARRT certification, and is committed to obtaining VI certification within a year.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Current ARRT (R.T.) certification required.
Minimum 2 years of clinical Radiology Technologist experience.
Ability and commitment to obtain VI certification through ARRT within one year of hire.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
BLS certification required or obtained within organizational guidelines.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional vascular and radiology procedures.
Operate angiography and advanced imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and departmental protocols.
Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to support efficient patient care.
Monitor and advocate for patient safety, comfort, and quality throughout the procedural experience.
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, APPs, and other team members to deliver coordinated care.
Maintain accurate patient records and procedural documentation.
Participate in on-call and callback rotations as required.
