Job summary

Stanford Health Care seeks an experienced RN to provide compassionate care within the RN scope of practice and to support the care team in ambulatory settings. You will assist with diagnostic tests, monitor equipment, and contribute to treatment plans under general supervision.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, reviewing charts in EPIC, documenting care, and communicating wait times to patients. A valid RN license and BLS certification are required, with a preference for ambulatory care

Qualifications

• Two years of recent clinical experience; ambulatory care preferred.
• Nursing license (RN) in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Verbal and written communication skills demonstrated in a professional manner.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy; familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits following standard procedures.
• Review charts in the EPIC environment for open orders and preventive services.
• Assist the care team in implementing the plan of care and communicating updates to patients.
• Notify patients of possible wait times and manage expectations during clinic visits.
• Perform routine clinical procedures and administer medications or vaccines per policy.
