Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Great Bend is seeking an Outpatient Infusion/Wound Care RN to join our ambulatory clinic team. The RN delivers nursing care using the nursing process, manages IV therapy for infusion patients, and acts as a care advocate for diverse patient populations.

Candidates should have ADN or higher, at least 2 years RN experience with infusion, and a valid RN license. BSN preferred. BLS certification required; multistate license acceptable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 2+ years RN experience with at least 1 year in infusion.
• Current RN license in good standing; multi-state license acceptable.
• BLS Heartsaver certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ambulatory infusion/exam settings per nursing process.
• Review test results and interpret; incorporate into the care plan by patient age.
• Evaluate unstable or complex patient cases and coordinate interventions.
• Use independent nursing judgment and consult peers/managers as needed.
• Educate patients and families; document teaching effectiveness.
• Assist in clinic workflows for infusion patients.
