Job summary

TCH Medical Center in Houston, TX seeks a Clinical Ambulatory Services Representative II-Outpatient Infusion Center to be the first point of contact for patients, providers, and staff in ambulatory clinics. You will facilitate outpatient check-in/check-out, review appointment status, and manage pre-visit payments while coordinating with clinic staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Certification in medical assisting or related credential required as listed.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient registration procedures per department process
• Obtains and verifies patient demographic data for each encounter
• Confirms patient appointments, verifying patient demographics and insurance information
• Enters, batches, and reconciles charges daily
• Ensures that interpreter services are available for patients as needed
• Provides basic office support including ordering and maintaining office/clinic supplies; maintaining office equipment; managing correspondence; copying, faxing, mailing and filing documents; and collecting and distributing mail
• Serves in key role to assure most efficient patient throughput in exam rooms

CCMA - Cert-Cert Clinical MA - CCMA National Health Career Association (NHA)

CMA-AAM - Cert-Cert Medical Assistant American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

CMA-C - Clinical Medical Assistant Certification American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
