Job summary

TCH Medical Center in The Woodlands, TX is seeking an Ambulatory Services Representative II for our Outpatient Otolaryngology Clinic. You will be the first point of contact for patients, providers, and staff, providing excellent customer service and guiding patients through virtual or in-clinic visits.

Responsibilities include registration, coordinating appointments, assisting with the transition to virtual visits when needed, and supporting non-financial aspects of the admission process.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years in customer service or 2 years clerical/medical office experience; healthcare preferred.
• Experience in healthcare environment is preferable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Admission-Check-In and Welcome desk duties.
• Handle patient registration procedures per department process.
• Orient patients to virtual visit process when applicable to ensure success.
• Provide and collect necessary patient forms for clinic visits.
• Communicate patient arrivals, delays, and clinic processes to staff and providers.
• Notify staff of changes or discrepancies in appointment status; manage schedules.
• Refer patients with inadequate funding to financial counseling.
• Process closing procedures and reconcile deposits as needed.
• Assist with insurance authorization, cash collection, and billing tasks.
