Job summary

UCSF Health seeks a Clinical Nurse in the Neurology/GI ambulatory setting to deliver high quality patient care and education. Under supervision of Medical Director and Neurology Nurse Manager, you will perform nursing procedures, triage calls, and support a case-manager style of care in outpatient clinics.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
• Two or more years of ambulatory care experience.
• GI ambulatory experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work with physicians and staff.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the outpatient clinic.
• Triage telephone calls and respond to patient questions.
• Administer medications and assist with procedure preparation.
• Educate patients about illnesses, medications, and procedures.
• Support quality patient care and contribute to team education.
• Assist in ensuring safety and adherence to clinical standards.
