Job summary

UC San Diego Health in San Diego is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Ambulatory Float Team. Under supervision, you will support patient care, schedule appointments, handle billing, and help maintain a clean, compliant clinic environment.

Candidates must be a CMA or complete a Medical Assistant training program; BART or BLS required at hire with six-month follow-up, and willingness to travel to North County and other clinics.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and manage related screens.
• Accurate billing and environmental care functions (cleaning/disinfecting).
• Equipment/supply management and inventory control.
• Collaborate with clinic staff and adhere to safety protocols.
