Job summary

UCLA Health's Ambulatory Float Team is seeking a versatile Medical Assistant to support patients across 25+ specialties in Southern California. You will provide patient care and clinical support across multiple ambulatory clinics while collaborating with diverse care teams.

This Per Diem role requires travel to UCLA Health community clinics, availability two weekdays per week, and one weekend per month, plus two weeks of full-time training.

Qualifications

• Medical assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited program
• Active CPR certification/BLS is required
• Ability to take vital signs, venipuncture, injections, administer medications, and obtain drug refills
• Knowledge of instruments and supplies for examinations and procedures
• Proficiency with computerized patient care systems; comfortable with Windows
• Willingness to travel to multiple UCLA Health clinics across Southern California

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and clinical support across multiple ambulatory clinics
• Support clinic operations and care teams across 25+ specialties
• Travel to UCLA Health Ambulatory Community Clinics throughout Southern California as needed
• Cover multiple practices based on staffing needs and maintain patient flow
