Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting under the provider’s guidance. You will perform patient prep, vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, specimen collection, and clinical documentation in the EMR.

Duties include preparing rooms, assisting with visits, supporting procedures, maintaining infection control, sterilization, and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• CMA or RMA certification from an approved agency is mandatory.
• Strong clinical skills and adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining patient information, vitals, and screening data using electronic tools.
• Preparing examination rooms and assisting patients with visits, ensuring safety and privacy.
• Supporting providers during procedures, performing EKGs, wound care, and minor surgical tasks within competency.
• Collecting lab specimens, performing phlebotomy, and managing related documentation.
• Handling clerical duties such as scheduling, filing reports, verifying insurance, and collecting payments.
• Facilitating patient communication, education, and follow-up as directed by providers.
• Maintaining sterilization and infection control protocols, inspecting equipment, and managing supplies.
• Participating in patient safety and quality improvement activities.
