Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a surgical technology program with OR certification within 12 months of hire.
• Must complete SGNA online associates program within 6 months of hire.
• Meets pre-employment screening and physical requirements.
• AHA-BLS required within 6 months of hire or current non-BLS card acceptable until renewal.
• Ability to anticipate, prioritize, perform, and complete multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently under stress.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and PC operation preferred.
• Proof of 15 hours of continuing education yearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist as primary scrub person, handling instruments and supplies for endoscopic procedures.
• Assist circulating duties under supervision of an Ambulatory Surgery RN.
• Help with room turnover and setup for procedures.
• Support preoperative and postoperative care under RN supervision.
• Maintain clean, stocked procedure rooms and support areas.
• Be reliable, organized, and able to anticipate needs in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
