Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking an Ambulatory Clinic Nurse (RN) for its Float Pool at the UKH Olathe Pavilion Main Campus. You will provide direct patient care across ambulatory clinics, using the nursing process and independent clinical judgment to ensure quality outcomes.

This full-time, on-site role emphasizes patient education, timely assessment, and collaboration with the care team. RN licensure (multi-state or single-state) and BLS are required, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• 6 months of RN experience
• 2+ years RN experience for Ambulatory Clinic RN PRN
• Bachelor Degree Nursing preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with multi-state license or active single-state license

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in ambulatory setting using nursing process.
• Performs preliminary patient assessment and coordinates follow-up with healthcare team.
• Evaluates unstable/complex patient situations and initiates interventions.
• Uses independent nursing judgment for care delegated to self and others.
• Educates patients and families, documents teaching and outcomes in charts.
• Responds to patient treatment-related calls and coordinates with physicians as needed.
