Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Ambulatory Clinic Nurse (RN) for the Clinic Float Pool in Kansas City, KS. This full-time role supports a variety of clinics, offering incentive float pay and exposure to multiple ambulatory settings.

Responsibilities include data entry, coordinating patient flow, assisting with pre-visit planning, injections, EKGs, and room preparation, with MyChart activation guidance for patients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in the state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs data entry in Hospital and Clinic information systems.
• Coordinates with clerical and medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Provides care team support and assists with pre-visit planning.
• Performs injections, spirometry and EKGs as needed.
• Prepares exam rooms between patients and assists with room turnover.
• Provides MyChart activation instructions to patients and promotes patient engagement.
