Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking an Registered Professional Nurse I, Ambulatory Care, to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, deliver, coordinate and evaluate care while supporting the care team and promoting patient autonomy.

Responsibilities include supervising LPNs, performing POC testing, and maintaining clinical competency. A BSN is preferred; NYS RN licensure is required with potential sign‑on bonuses.

Qualifications

• 2 year / Associate Degree in Nursing, required or...
• Vocational / Technical Diploma Professional Nursing Program, required or...
• 4 year / Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred
• New graduate, or less than 1 year of experience, required
• NYS licensure as Registered Nurse or valid interim permit is required
• BLS certification will be required within 6 months
• Other certifications may be needed based on department requirements

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients across the life span in diverse settings.
• Collects and records patient health data and coordinates with care team.
• Analyzes data to identify problems and inform plans of care.
• Implements and documents interventions for diagnosed conditions.
• Directs care by supervising LPNs and support personnel.
• Performs Point of Care testing and quality control.
• Ensures informed consent is signed for indicated procedures.
• Maintains knowledge and completes required training and competency validation.
