Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Ambulatory Care Advanced Certified to deliver direct and indirect patient care within a collaborative health care team. The LPN will provide leadership in the specialty unit, support staff orientation, and maintain current National Certification to ensure high-quality patient outcomes across ambulatory settings.

The role requires NYS LPN licensure, BLS, and relevant leadership experience, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program, required.
• 3 years LPN experience, required.
• 2 years' experience within relevant practice area, required.
• Previous leadership experience, preferred.
• Current NYS Licensure as a Practical Nurse, required.
• BLS certification, required.
• Certified by a Nationally Recognized Organization or an Accredited Training Program (ANCC, NAPNES, etc.), required. In lieu: 15 CE hours per year, 45 CE’s for maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect nursing care individualized to the patient’s needs.
• Advocates for patients to ensure that care preserves and protects the patient’s autonomy, dignity and rights.
• Works with the Nurse Supervisor and/or Manager to assure the appropriate application of the nursing process of specialty unit.
• Performs similar or related duties as requested or directed.
