Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Knowledge of nursing care procedures and protocols
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Familiarity with computer systems/EHR and related tools

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by performing assessments, planning, implementing and evaluating treatments for patients in the practice setting.
• Documents care in the patient’s EMR accurately.
• Coordinates delivery of care within the practice and across health care settings.
• Manages resources and workflow in the practice and refers patients to needed services.
• Fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to improve quality of care and patient satisfaction.
• Communicates with patients and families about care and the nurse's role in the ambulatory setting.
• Ensures access to safe, effective, timely, efficient and equitable care.
• Mentors new staff and participates in orientation and ongoing education.
• Protects patient confidentiality and reports issues to supervision as appropriate.
• Supports infection control and safety policies within the practice.
