Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist to lead medication safety initiatives, collaborate with providers, and educate teams on comprehensive medication management. You will design, implement, and monitor policies to support safe prescribing and optimal outcomes.

Under the Executive Director, you will analyze medication usage, develop educational activities, and coordinate across NGPG to improve patient safety and care transitions.

Qualifications

• Georgia licensed PharmD with eligible certifications or exam within 12 months.
• Experience in clinical pharmacy, ambulatory care or hospital setting.
• Strong data analysis, policy development and education delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and analyze prescribing data to inform formulary and antimicrobial stewardship.
• Develop ambulatory antibiogram by clinic or region; monitor medication safety.
• Lead education for patients and staff on comprehensive medication management.
• Collaborate with providers to improve pay-for-performance outcomes and pathways.
• Oversee pharmacy staff in ambulatory care and participate in research initiatives.
