Job summary

UNM HOSPITALS in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced nurse leader to manage and coordinate efficient clinical operations within the Digest Disease Health Center. You will develop, implement and monitor processes supporting organizational mission and oversee day-to-day activities across neonatal to geriatric care.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, assist in budgeting, preparing reports, and leading committees.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in NM or via reciprocal agreement
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days
• Associate Degree required
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Master's Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• SUPERVISION: Develop structure, supervise staff, train and counsel
• BUDGET: Assist in annual budget and monitor variances
• REPORTS: Prepare and review department reports and performance metrics
• STANDARDS: Implement standards and operating policies
• LEADERSHIP: Identify problems and drive program improvements
• COMMITTEES AND MEETINGS: Participate in hospital and department committees
• DEVELOPMENT: Promote professional growth through education and training
• PATIENT SAFETY 1-5: Enforce safety policies and proactive safety improvements
• PROBLEM SOLVING: Identify causes and take corrective actions
• ROUNDING: Monitor satisfaction through daily rounding
