Job summary

Sentara is seeking a Registered Nurse Practice Coordinator in Virginia Beach, VA. You will serve as a clinical leader for ambulatory care teams, coordinating patient flow, and assisting providers to ensure high-quality care.

You will schedule staff, support care planning, and help implement guidelines and protocols to improve outcomes. Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians, NP/PA, and RN, delegating tasks to LPNs and MAs, and ensuring patient education and decision-making

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• RN license in the state of practice required.
• 1 year of supervisory experience; 3 years of nursing experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Acts as clinical leader under the Practice Manager for ambulatory care patients/families.
• Schedules and/or assigns clinic staff to meet patient care and clinic needs.
• Performs patient care and develops/implements clinical practice guidelines and protocols.
• Provides support with patient decision-making, education, and coordination of services to ensure quality outcomes.
• Coordinates with Physicians/NP/PA/RN to provide comprehensive care and supervises tasks delegated to LPNs and MAs.
