Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Ambulatory Care Nurse (FGP) to support coordination and evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies at NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York, NY. This full-time, day-shift role emphasizes patient-centered care and quality improvement.

Qualified candidates will have a BSN (or ADN with leadership approval), 2+ years of nursing experience, NY RN license, and BLS; ACLS preferred. Comprehensive benefits and professional growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; ADN acceptable contingent on Nursing Leadership approval.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience in applicable area.
• Current New York RN license and BLS certification; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Collect patient health history.
• Record information in electronic health record.
• Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans.
• Administer medications and provide comprehensive wound care.
• Assess and monitor patient responses to treatments, procedures, and anesthesia.
• Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans.
• Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and technicians as needed.
• Support the coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies.
• Participate in clinical inquiry and activities to foster evidence-based practice.
