Job summary

NYU Langone Hospitals in Brooklyn seeks an Ambulatory Care Nurse (FGP) to coordinate nursing practice, implement clinical policies, and contribute to site-level quality initiatives within multispecialty surgery.

The role involves patient assessment, administration of treatments and medications, and collaboration with licensed providers to develop patient-centered care plans. Strong emphasis on data collection, education, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York.
• Bachelors degree in Nursing required or pursued as per policy after 9/1/25.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, administer treatments and medications as prescribed.
• Coordinate nursing care with licensed providers to develop patient-centered plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records and communicate results to care team.
• Support quality initiatives and patient safety standards across ambulatory settings.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed practical nurses and medical assistants as needed.
• Provide patient education and counseling to patients and families.
