NYU Grossman School of Medicine seeks an Ambulatory Care Nurse for the Manhattan Internal Medicine (FGP) teams: Gastro & Hepatology. You will support nursing practice, policy implementation, and quality improvement, coordinating care across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Minimum of two years nursing experience in applicable area; enrollment in a BSN program may be required for hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical assessments and prepares patient histories.
• Assists with medical treatments and medication administration.
• Records data in electronic health records and communicates results to team.
• Counsels patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans.
• Administers vaccines and IV therapy; provides wound care and triage.
• Coordinates with licensed providers to determine treatment plans and support patient flow.
