Job summary

The Clinical Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients and collaborates with physicians, nurses, and the pharmacy team to optimize medication therapy outcomes.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from ACPE-accredited college.
• Licensed or eligible to practice in Kentucky.
• PGY-1 residency or 3+ years of related experience preferred.
• Current BLS; ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with neonatal to geriatric pharmacotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients.
• Evaluate and verify medication orders for safety and effectiveness.
• Provide dosing guidance and PK consultations.
• Supervise technicians and participate in staff mentoring.
• Engage in formulary management and cost-effective therapy.
• Document interventions in EMR and decision support.
• Respond to drug information requests and support nursing/physician teams.
• Participate in code blue and other emergencies.
