Job summary

Corewell Health Southfield Center is seeking a part-time Clinical Assistant to coordinate patient care and perform essential clerical duties. The role includes providing patient care under RN direction, assisting with supplies and documentation in the EMR, and serving as a receptionist to organize daily unit priorities.

The position emphasizes teamwork within the Float Pool - Medical Group East WB Mkt and requires a HS diploma, nursing assistant credential, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 180 Days required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross required
• CRT-Nursing Assistant - LARA-BCHS Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs Upon Hire preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care assignments as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse or designee.
• Clerical/manages supplies/equipment in designated care areas.
• Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy. Documents in electronic medical record.
• Acts as a receptionist and organizes daily work assignment based on unit priorities.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Nursing assistant program completed

BLS certification (AHA or ARC)

Nursing Assistant - LARA-BCHS Upon Hire preferred
