Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of medicine or osteopathy.
• Three (3) years of approved residency in their specialty field.
• Must maintain required CME credits.
• Possession and maintenance of a current Florida license to practice medicine.
• Possession and maintenance of Board Certification in area of specialty when appropriate.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with physicians, patients, and other staff members.
• Effective use of Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Demonstrated knowledge of proper, safe, and efficient use of current office equipment/software.
• Knowledge of Office 365 programs, including Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Elicits histories and conducts physicals.
• Orders appropriate labs, EKGs, x-rays and recognizes abnormal findings.
• Prescribes and dispenses medications and treatments per guidelines.
• Initiates referrals or consultations with appropriate professionals.
• Assesses and triages patients.
• Cosigns charts in a timely fashion and manages EHR documentation.
