Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of an RN or supervisor. You will collect data through observation and communicate findings to support patient assessment and care planning.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, deliver care according to the patient care plan and organizational policies, and participate in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program.
• If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of LPN experience in an applicable setting is required.
• Arizona - Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers.
• Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.
• Positions not on campus may not require current BLS competency as determined by the work area.
• Mentoring and instructing skills valued.
• May participate on committees or projects, including quality improvement projects.

Responsabilités

• The LPN provides nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of the RN or other supervisor and accepts delegation.
• Collects data through observation and communicates information to assist the RN/provider in patient assessment and care planning.
• Delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, policies and procedures of the organization, and relationship-based care principles.
