Job summary

South Shore Health System seeks a Nursing Supervisor to oversee Nursing & Medical Assistant staff within Cardiology and Anticoagulation services in an ambulatory environment. You will ensure productivity, safety, quality patient care, and adherence to standards.

The role requires BSN, RN licensure, and prior supervisory experience, with strong leadership, communication, and operational skills. Travel to Weymouth and Norwell offsite meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN required.
• Two or more years of nursing experience.
• Ambulatory environment experience preferred.
• Telephone triage experience required.
• Past supervisory experience required.
• Current MA State RN nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of the department ensuring compliance with standards and goals.
• Participate in the nursing process to ensure quality patient care.
• Delegate staff assignments appropriately.
• Order supplies and maintain department inventory; ensure equipment is maintained.
• Resolve patient issues and report to Manager and Providers.
• Promote a culture of safety; report incidents in the safety system.
• Assist in staffing assessments and master schedules; forecast needs.
• Complete weekly time sheets and overtime reports; assist in budgeting.
