Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.

Ambulance Readiness Technicians will support field crews by keeping ambulances ready for service, stocking supplies, and maintaining clean, safe equipment on night shifts at the Peoria headquarters. Opportunities exist to train into EMT-Basic roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current EMT license in Illinois or ability to obtain.
• Must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and decontaminate ambulances.
• Stock ambulances with necessary medical supplies and equipment.
• Ensure all medical equipment is in working order.
• Audit medical equipment and complete documentation.
• Collaborate to maintain a clean, organized supply room and garage.

Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.

Our Ambulance Readiness Technicians will provide direct support to field providers by ensuring our fleet is clean and ready for service. In this role you will partner with EMT and Paramedic crews to fully equip their ambulance with all required single-use items, maintain good working order of medical equipment, and ensure a clean, sanitary environment for our patients. This role will work night shift at our Peoria headquarters.

Starting as a technician with AMT will allow you opportunities to train into a provider role as an EMT-Basic!

Tasks:
