Job summary

Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.

Ambulance Readiness Technicians will support field crews by keeping ambulances ready for service, stocking supplies, and maintaining clean, safe equipment on night shifts at the Peoria headquarters. Opportunities exist to train into EMT-Basic roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current EMT license in Illinois or ability to obtain.
• Must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and decontaminate ambulances.
• Stock ambulances with necessary medical supplies and equipment.
• Ensure all medical equipment is in working order.
• Audit medical equipment and complete documentation.
• Collaborate to maintain a clean, organized supply room and garage.
