Advanced Medical Transport is seeking a dedicated dispatcher for Peoria, IL. You will handle incoming EMS requests, judge urgency, and dispatch units accordingly, while ensuring patient confidentiality and accurate record-keeping.

The role supports relocation of units per plan and assists scheduling, with benefits including education reimbursement and comprehensive coverage. High school diploma or GED required; EMS dispatch certs preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Typing 35–40 wpm and data entry experience.
• Preference for prior System Status Controller experience.
• NAEMD Emergency Medical Dispatch certification preferred; BLS/CPR certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming emergency and non-emergency requests for service.
• Determine call urgency and location of the situation.
• Dispatch appropriate unit based on call type and schedule.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Relocate units as designated by the System Status Plan.
• Prepare accurate and timely statistical reports and paperwork.
• Follow center policies and assist scheduling staff.

What You'll Do

• Receive incoming emergency and non-emergency requests for service
• Determine call the urgency and location of the situation
• Dispatches the appropriate unit to respond to emergency and nonemergency requests for ambulance service based on the type of call and scheduled time
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Relocate, as required, units from one post location to another as designated by the System Status Plan
• Prepare accurate and timely statistical reports and appropriate paperwork
• Follow operations service center policies and procedures
• Assist as needed with the scheduling of field and operations service center personnel

Required Qualifications
