Job summary

AMR is hiring Ambulance Operators that will respond to emergency and non-emergency transportation requests and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.

You will drive, document trip details, maintain a clean vehicle, perform pre-shift checks, use radio codes, operate stretcher and other equipment, and work with allied health and public safety teams to ensure safe, timely patient transport.

Qualifications

• State driver’s license required.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• CPR card preferred.
• Clean driving record per policy; ability to pass agility test.
• Healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests and transport patients.
• Document trip information while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain safe, clean vehicle; complete pre-shift checklist and report issues.
• Use radio codes to communicate and route patients per security standards.
• Operate equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair; manage PPE and disposables.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety teams and operations.
