Job summary

MMT Ambulance is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to diagnose, repair and maintain emergency vehicles and equipment in our Virginia Beach, VA fleet. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs while documenting activities in our Fleet Management System.

Ideal candidates have experience with ambulance maintenance, light diesel and gas engines, and the ability to work safely in a high-demand EMS environment. We offer comprehensive benefits and ongoing training support.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Good verbal communication skills are required.
• Experience with repair and maintenance of emergency vehicles preferred.
• Proficiency in light diesel and gasoline vehicle repair.
• Ability to use multiple computer systems and document actions in MMT’s Fleet Management System.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair vehicles and equipment.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Document vehicle records in the Fleet Management System.
• Execute major and minor repairs of defective components and vehicle systems.
• Source and procure parts through MMT’s national accounts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
