Job summary

CJW Medical Center's Chippenham Hospital EMS Transport Services seeks an Emergency Services Transport EMT to assist Paramedics in safe patient transport and treatment. You will respond to EMS requests, coordinate with agencies, and ensure readiness of ambulances and equipment.

Responsibilities include adhering to BLS protocols, documenting care, and maintaining equipment, while supporting the EMS team during interfacility transports and disaster responses as needed.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) certification required.
• Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
• EMS Safety training and awareness expected.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license/certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ambulance readiness and operate in accordance with EMS protocols.
• Assist Paramedic in patient treatment and transport to facilities.
• Respond to EMS call-center requests and coordinate with healthcare providers.
• Document patient care information accurately and complete PCR/ED software entries.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of ambulance and equipment.
• Provide primary care at the BLS level during transports as directed.
