Job summary

LAZ Parking is hiring a Part-time Porter/Ambassador to greet customers, perform maintenance in the garage, and assist during events. The role is on-call with mornings and afternoons shifts, paying $19/hour.

You will work to ensure a welcoming environment and smooth operations for customers and staff. Responsibilities include garage upkeep, equipment maintenance, customer interactions, and assisting with cashiering and account updates in the revenue control system.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience and cash handling knowledge.
• Cash handling experience preferred but not required.
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Flexible scheduling: mornings and afternoons; on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general maintenance of the garage (sweeping, surfaces, trash).
• Maintain and repair malfunctioning parking equipment for access.
• Greet customers by name and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Assist customers in lobbies, lanes, and parking office; direct traffic.
• Promote premier customer satisfaction with a friendly attitude.
• Enter monthly applications into the parking revenue control system.
• Assist with cashiering functions as needed.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Title: Porter/ Ambassador

Hours: Part time, on call, mainly mornings and afternoons

Pay: $19/hour

The Ambassador greets and creates a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients. The Ambassador is responsible for cleaning and maintenance in the garage, as well as support during events.

What will I do?

• Oversee general maintenance of the garage - sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, etc.
• Maintain and repair any malfunctioning parking equipment to ensure appropriate access to customers.
• Greet customer by name, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base.
• Assist customers in lobbies, lanes, and in the parking office; help direct traffic.
• Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude.
• Add/delete accounts, and key in required information from monthly applications in the parking revenue control system.
• Assist with cashiering functions as needed.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Experience:

• Strong customer service experience.
• Cash handling experience is preferred but not required.
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Skills:

• Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations.
• Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
• Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).

Physical Demands:

• Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
• Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
