LAZ Parking is hosting a Hiring Event in Detroit for part-time Event Staff at $15/hour and Ambassador roles at $17.25/hour. The event will be held at Bagley Mobility Hub garage, 1501 Wabash St., Detroit, MI 48216, on Tuesday, October 13th from 10 AM to 4 PM. Meet with a Detroit hiring manager to discuss position history and work experience.

Bring two forms of ID and a resume if available. Title: Porter/ Ambassador, Hours: Part-time schedules available, Pay: $17.25/hour.

Formación

• Experience in customer service and ability to handle cash transactions.
• Preference for experience in parking or hospitality environments.
• Proficient in English and basic computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Greet customers by name and provide timely, friendly service.
• Assist customers in lobbies, lanes, and the parking office; direct traffic.
• Maintain premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor and can-do attitude.
• Add/delete accounts and input required information in the parking revenue control system.
• Assist with cashiering functions as needed.
• Oversee general maintenance of the garage (cleaning, trash, light bulbs).
• Maintain and repair malfunctioning parking equipment to ensure access for customers.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Where: Bagley Mobility Hub garage (1501 Wabash St. Detroit, MI 48216) When: Tuesday, October 13th from 10 AM-4 PM! You will meet with one of our Detroit hiring managers to discuss the position and your work history! Please bring 2 forms of ID and a resume if you have one!

Position Details

Title: Porter/ Ambassador

Hours: Part-time schedules available

Pay: $17.25/hour

The Spirit of the Position

The Ambassador greets and creates a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients.

Employee Referral Program

$50 for a hired PT referral

$100 for a hired FT referral

$250 for any referral in good standing after 90 days.

The requirements are that the candidate must put the employees name on their application OR provide the employees name that referred at the time of interview.

What will I do?

• Greet customer by name, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base.
• Assist customers in lobbies, lanes, and in the parking office; help direct traffic.
• Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude.
• Add/delete accounts, and key in required information from monthly applications in the parking revenue control system.
• Assist with cashiering functions as needed.
• Oversee general maintenance of the garage - sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, etc.
• Maintain and repair any malfunctioning parking equipment to ensure appropriate access to customers.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Experience

• Strong customer service experience.
• Cash handling experience is preferred but not required.
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Skills

• Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations.
• Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
• Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).

Physical Demands

• Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
• Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
